When I get my hands on fresh raspberries various recipes flood my brain. Raspberries are delicious whether fresh, baked into a pie, or whipped into a mousse but in my opinion there is nothing that beats a glass of raspberry smoothie. This is actually a raspberry-banana smoothie but the star here is the raspberry. The smoothie is simple and delicious for breakfast, snack, or a dinner beverage. It has that pure raspberry flavor all thanks to what I would call a secret ingredient which is fresh lime juice. I usually don’t add any acid in the form of citrus to my smoothies because it can turn the smoothie sour. So I add powder sugar or honey to sweetened it, but for no apparent reason I decided to add fresh lime juice this time. It was very tasty and it intensified the raspberry flavor. I omitted the sugar, but you can add honey or agave nectar to sweeten the flavor. It’s a great and healthy way to start the day. Enjoy!
